CK Solution announced on the 26th that it has secured a contract valued at approximately 25 billion KRW to supply core mechanical equipment and infrastructure facilities to the electric vehicle (EV) battery joint venture plant currently being constructed by LG Energy Solution and Honda in Ohio, USA.
According to CK Solution, the company won the contract for the mechanical facility utility and hook-up engineering sectors for the joint venture plant’s electrode assembly and activation lines. Under this contract, the company will manage the complex piping connections and cable wiring absolutely vital for the factory's operational startup.
This milestone marks CK Solution's second major contract for the Ohio joint venture facility, following its previous successful acquisition of the utility construction project for the plant's anode coating process. The company emphasized that this back-to-back contract is a direct result of global recognition for its precision design capabilities and extensive facility construction experience.
The Ohio facility is a mega-scale battery production complex backed by a massive $4.4 billion USD (approx. 6.45 trillion KRW) investment from LG Energy Solution and Honda.
An official from CK Solution stated, > "Leveraging our strong track record and the successful execution of multiple high-profile EV and battery infrastructure projects currently underway across North America, we will continue to aggressively drive and expand our global order volume moving forward."
