CK Solution Commences Field Operations of Smart Industrial Dehumidifiers
AI Independently Measures Humidity and Seamlessly Optimizes Dehumidification Cycles
Proven Energy Reductions: Power Consumption Drops by Up to 20% in Secondary Battery Facility
[Seoul Economy Daily] An artificial intelligence (AI)-driven dehumidification system has been successfully deployed in high-tech industrial environments requiring ultra-low humidity dry rooms, demonstrating highly significant energy efficiency gains.
CK Solution Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ: 480370) announced on the 22nd, > "We have successfully developed an innovative industrial dehumidifier utilizing advanced AI technology. Following a delivery to a secondary battery materials manufacturer, we have comprehensively verified its superior energy efficiency over a six-month continuous operational field test."
Industrial dehumidifiers are widely used across diverse sectors where pristine, humidity-controlled dry rooms are indispensable, including secondary batteries, semiconductors, food production, pharmaceuticals, and hospitals. However, the high power consumption resulting from continuous, round-the-clock operations has historically been a critical challenge for the industry.
According to CK Solution, after supplying its AI-controlled dehumidification system in October last year to Company A—a manufacturer specializing in secondary battery materials and functional coatings—a comprehensive performance analysis over a six-month period confirmed a power consumption reduction of up to 20% annually compared to conventional systems.
Conventionally, operators had to manually monitor workplace humidity levels and adjust dehumidifier settings. In contrast, CK Solution's newly developed smart system enables the embedded AI to autonomously learn and analyze the production environment in real time, constantly micro-adjusting the equipment's operation based on immediate conditions.
An official from CK Solution explained, > "The AI continuously logs real-time humidity data from the facility floor to generate predictive operational models, which dynamically optimize dehumidifier cycles and heater temperatures. Thanks to the AI's continuous machine learning capabilities, its control precision and energy-saving performance will become even more refined over time."
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, CK Solution continues to expand its robust business portfolio across various high-precision infrastructure fields, including secondary battery dry room systems, semiconductor super-clean rooms, defense, biotech clean rooms, and data center cooling (HVAC) systems.
Within the secondary battery dry room sector, CK Solution holds the exclusive domestic distribution rights for the high-performance dehumidifying rotors of Japan's Nichias—the global market leader. Powered by this technical edge, the company proudly serves South Korea's premier global battery cell manufacturers, including LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and SK On, as its core clients.
